The course was to take a few weeks and by the end of it, learners are expected to have the foundational aspects created and ready to go. The first iteration of this course had to be live, with the live session being recorded for future use. Carolyn utilized my Course Blueprint offer to get a comprehensive outline that she can use to navigate delivery of the course.

The Solution

I utilized google docs to create a detailed outline that covered specific objectives, content scope, activities, tools, homework assignments, guides and checklists. The design included Q and A segment for the live session, and FAQs as an alternative when the course becomes self-paced.

About MyShingle

MyShingle is a website that has resources for attorneys looking to start their own practice and "hang their shingle".

The problem

Carolyn Elefant, the founder of MyShingle has been teaching attorneys how to start solo law firms for many years via her website, lectures, conferences and talks. She wanted to try a different approach by creating a hybrid e-learning course where learners can have access to pre-recorded lessons, but meet on a weekly basis with Carolyn to delve deeper into each lesson. The course had to cover foundational topics including mindset, business management, client management, and marketing, and had to be designed in such a way that encouraged immediate implementation.
